As I had a Business Coach Certification from Duke University, a BS in Business from UNC Chapel Hill and created several successful businesses, I thought I was all set to start my coaching business. Yeah, right!
I struggled just like every fledgling business owner, floundering around wondering what do do first, what to do next? It seemed like it all needed to be done right now.
I tinkered with my website, tried teaching an online class, hosting a Facebook group, all with puny results. The one thing I didn’t do was hire a coach. What?? I had no one to help me strategize, get clarity, or have accountability. Guess what? I gave up and just went back to my old job.
But the passion for coaching was still smoldering, so I later trained in Brain-Based Coaching from the Neuroleadership Institute. I became excited about using the latest brain science to help business owners get to solutions fast and grow their businesses.
But this time I was smart - I hired a coach and now I’ll never be without a coach. Thanks to coaching, I now have my own successful coaching business.
